KeKe Palmer’s blossoming into a fabulous young woman right before our eyes. And although she’s still got an admirable girlish aura about herself, it’s obvious that she’s not a little girl any more!
The 19-year-old actress, who’s starring as Chilli in the forthcoming TLC biopic recently uploaded some stylish snapshots to Instagram while behind the scenes of a new photo shoot. In the filtered flicks, KeKe flaunts her killer legs in front of the camera wearing a pair of cutoff denim shorts and platform leather peep-toe booties.
Killer legs like KeKe’s can’t come without a commitment to eating healthy and a rigorous workout routine. But, because I know how challenging it is to stick to diet and exercise plans, I’m giving up four fabulous tricks (three of which I use) to help you ladies fake toned legs all summer long. You ready?
1. WEAR YOUR HIGHEST HEELS
It’s honestly the oldest trick in the book, and I can personally testify that it’s one that works! Wearing stiletto heels not only elongates your legs, but they also force you to stand taller and walk straighter. If you plan to show off your legs wearing a skirt or pair of shorts, swap your sensible sandals for a pair of stilettos.

Wedges offer the same height, but are less strenuous on your feet.[/dropshadowbox]
2. WEAR FLESH-TONE FISHNET HOSIERY LIKE BEYONCÉ
I’m probably putting my girl Beyoncé on blast right now — but since it’s for the greater good (namely, my fabulous readers), I don’t mind. Wearing fishnet stockings is one of the most subtle, yet ingenious ways to fake toned legs — and Queen Bey swears by this trick when she’s on stage. For one, fishnet stockings are cooler than most sheer tights due to their detailing, which qualifies them as perfect for summertime wear. Second, if you invest in a really durable pair (like these from Nude Barre for $28), the durability of the material prevents your thighs and legs from jiggling and has the ability to conceal any scars on your legs. And lastly, if you buy stockings that match well with your complexion, they’ll be so sheer that no one will even notice you’re wearing them!

Even one of Beyoncé’s music idols, Tina Turner still wears fishnet stockings whenever she performs:
3. SPLURGE ON A SKIN-TIGHTENING SERUM
If you’re not keen about wearing heels or fishnet stockings, then you’ll have to splurge on a product that can help tone your legs. Try Soap & Glory’s Super Sit Tight Intense XS Special Super-Strength Body Firming Serum — available exclusively at Sephora for $38. It’s a pressure-sensitive microsphere technology that releases skin-boosting caffeine. The product’s ingredients help to smooth lumpy, bumpy areas and reduce puffiness. Though I’ve never used the product and have no personal experience with it, customers who have used it rate the product at 4 out of 5. It may be your best bet to purchase this product (or something similar) if you’re in need of a quick-fix.

Don’t buy it the night before your big event.[/dropshadowbox]
4. TALK YOURSELF INTO THINKING YOU HAVE TONED LEGS
Sounds silly, but thinking you’re thinner or, in this case, more toned than you actually are is one of the easiest — and cheapest ways to fake toned legs. And it’s all accomplished through the power of self-persuasion. As you’re getting dressed, talk to yourself. Create a mantra (something short and sweet) and chant it over and over again. By the time you reach your destination, you should feel so confident that you’ll have forgotten the fact that you haven’t done leg lunges in months. If you want people to believe you’re fabulous, then project just that. Strut into your destination with your shoulders back, your eyes forward, and your head held high.
Hopefully, you’ll find at least one of these four fab tricks helpful. If you know of or use a trick to fake toned legs in the summertime and you’re willing to share with the rest of us, please leave it below in our discussion section.
